The Roatan Jungle Horseback Ride and Island Tour is a unique and funfilled way to spend your day on the Island of Roatan. The tour leaves the cruise terminal and routes through the town of Coxen Hole and beyond to the picturesque shrimping town of French Harbor on our way to the first stop of the tour, the Famous Iguana Farm.

The Iguana Farm offers the unique opportunity to feed and touch these huge reptiles. This is one of the most interesting tourist sites on the island with over 3000 iguanas, monkeys, birds, tarpon fish, turtles, lobsters and conchs.

A short ride from here, we transfer from motorized transport to an entirely different kind of horsepower. Our calm and friendly Honduran mountain horses are typically smaller than many US breeds, and ideally suited to steep terrain.

Our guides will take on narrow hill trails into the jungle on horseback, and point out many of the interesting local medicinal tree and plant types as well as wildlife indigenous to the island. With great view points and photo opportunities this is a lovely way to experience the flora and fauna of the island on horseback.

On returning to the ranch, you will be greeted by a complimentary chilled coconut to cool off and refresh, before boarding the transport for a short ride down to the last stop of the tour, the private Parrot Tree Plantation Resort.

During your two hour resort break at the Parrot Tree Plantation, you will have the use of the facilities including a lagoon, sun loungers, pools, bars, restaurant and non motorized water sports such as snorkel gear and waterbikes. Kayak are also available but at an additional cost.

This tranquil resort is the ideal location to unwind, spend some time on a kayak, cool off in the pool or lagoon after your memorable Island and Horseback Riding Adventure.
